Programs & Services
Client Services interviews each individual to determine the most effective way that MBK can assist them through their crisis and help them to obtain self sufficiency. MBK serves anyone eligible for services without regards to race, gender, ethnicity or religion.
ELIGIBILITY
Proof of residency in Harris or Fort Bend County and identification required for ALL services.

Proof of Residency

Harris or Fort Bend County lease or mortgage statement preferred as proof of residency documentation.
​
If proof of residency is not in the applicant's name, a letter signed and dated by the home or lease owner and a current piece of mail (does not have to be a bill) from the owner will be accepted.
Identification
​
Photo ID required for all adult applicants.
Driver's License or State ID preferred
Passports accepted for persons
not in possession of a US ID.
Birth Certificate accepted for minors.
Photo copies of IDs and documents accepted.
Financial Assistance
Service:
My Brother's Keeper offers emergency financial assistance for individuals or families having trouble paying for rent and/or utilities.

Application:
Please call (281) 498-9933 and select option 1 to speak to a financial representative. This process is carried out virtually and appointments are made solely through the phone. Walk-in appointments are not available.
Financial Literacy
Service:
Access to personal finance knowledge is fundamental to success. MBK is excited to announce the creation of our Financial Literacy Program. This is a FREE online course that provides the basic knowledge to plan for a better financial future. In this course, you will learn how to set personal finance goals; develop a budget; practice healthy spending, saving, and investing strategies; as well as other fundamental financial skills.

The Financial Literacy Program is a FREE online course required to qualify for financial assistance through MBK; however, you must begin your case by calling (281) 498-9933 and then activate your website membership.

Food Pantry
Service:
My Brother's Keeper Food Pantry offers staple pantry items for individuals or families dealing with food insecurity. Approved clients are eligible to receive assistance once within a 30-day period. Our Food Pantry is also a Houston Food Bank Food for Change market location for qualified clients.

Application:
Walk-ins are welcome on a first come first served basis. The pantry operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00am to 1:30pm. Be prepared to provide the required documentation. Please call (281) 498-9933 if you have any questions.
Student Support
Service:
As the new school year approaches, students need to be equipped with the required items to support their learning experience. Each year MBK receives monetary and in-kind donations to help provide grade appropriate school supplies for the students registered in the Inspiring Minds School Supply Program.

Register by visiting the center in person. No appointment is required. Operating hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00am to 1:30pm. Be prepared to provide the required documentation. Once approved, you will receive a voucher and be expected to attend the supply distribution event at a set date and time. Each child MUST be present to receive their school supplies.
Holiday Outreach
Service:
My Brother's Keeper seeks to make the holidays a joyful season for families in need by providing Thanksgiving groceries and a gift for each child for Christmas.

Once approved, you will receive a voucher and be expected to attend the distribution event at a set date and time. ONLY the designated applicant can pickup the Thanksgiving meal. And each child MUST be present to receive their Christmas gift.
